Free Young Guns Paintball Tournament

2009 Chicago Open
Hey!

PSP Events will be hosting the Paintball Sports Trade Association's (PSTA) Young Guns tournament at the upcoming 2009 Chicago Open. The event will be held Sunday, June 28th at the Bolingbrook Recreation & Aquatic Center in Bolingbrook, IL.
The Young Guns tournament will be open to players between the ages of 12 and 18 with no previous PSP or other national level tournament experience. Teams will compete using the RaceTo-2 format and PSP rules with some modifications. The rate of fire will be semi-auto capped at 8bps. Paint will be limited to 150 rounds per player per game. All equipment besides goggles and clothing will be supplied for the teams. This includes guns from top industry companies and even paint!

Best of all, there is no entry fee! The Young Guns tournament is FREE. This is a great chance for new players to compete on a PSP field with PSP referees at a top level national event!

Only 24 teams will be allowed in so make sure to register your team early! All players must have a 2009 ID card in order to compete. While there is no entry fee for the Young Guns, a team must purchase at least 5 ID cards before they will be confirmed for the event. New Divisions at the 2009 Chicago Open

Paintball Sports Promotions is excited to introduce two new divisions for the 2009 Chicago Open. The event will return to the Bolingbrook Recreation & Aquatic Center in Bolingbrook, IL June 24th-28th.

DIV RaceTo-4 has been added for this event and will be an opportunity for teams to try the back-to-back point format of RaceTo-4. Only two D3 players will be allowed on a D4 roster.

Teams competing in DIV RaceTo-4 can register onsite at the event beginning on Tuesday, June 23rd. Competition will begin on Wednesday and run through Sunday. The first and second place teams will receive ½ off an entry fee for DIV RaceTo-4 at the 2009 World Cup! Prizes are non-transferrable and will only be valid for that event.

The Chicago Open will also host DII RaceTo-2. This is the only division open to players that are also playing RaceTo-4 and RaceTo-5. Only one D1 player will be allowed per roster. No Semi-Pro or Pro players will be allowed. For classification purposes, this event will only count as D3.

Registration for DII RaceTo-2 will remain open until Friday, June 26th for those teams that just can’t get enough play time. Competition will run Saturday and Sunday.

Please note that while the DII RaceTo-2 preliminary rounds will not conflict with DII RaceTo-5 or DIII RaceTo-4, it is possible for later rounds to overlap with finals. No adjustments or refunds will be made for conflicting schedules resulting from players playing in both DII RaceTo-2 and another division.

The 2009 Season rolled on successfully with the Mid-Atlantic Open hosted at PBC Sports Park in Rock Hill, SC. Teams from the U.S. and abroad attended the event and enjoyed four days of beautiful weather and great competition.

The Mid-Atlantic Open Webcast brought viewers around the world all the intense action of our showcase field. The games were great and the competition fierce with some surprising upsets and some flat-out just good paintball.

We have started the UWL to create a venue for paintball teams to compete in the woods. The league is designed for scenario teams, old school 10 man teams, and anyone who wants to play paintball the way it was meant to be played. We at the UWL would like you to take a look at what we have planed for the 09 season. Please provide us with feedback and suggestions that will help make the UWL fun and competitive for everyone.

As you look around the site you'll find out why our unique format takes the best parts of tournament play and brings them to a woods/scenario environment. Never before has there been a way to track and rank your skills and abilities against players from all over the world. The UWL changes all that - bringing competitive paintball back to the format and location it's always belonged.

USPL Register and get a Pro Player help your team

Divisional 7-man teams, here's your chance to own a pro for the weekend!  Each team registered in Division 3, 2 and 1 7-man for the West Coast Open will get to select one US Paintball League Pro Player to coach them for the July 24 – 26 event. The Pro player cannot play with you of course, but they will spend one hour walking the fields with your team and discuss game plans on Thursday. Your pro will also be available, as time allows, to help your team throughout the weekend.

How it works:

1. Each Divisional 7-man team that registers for the West Coast Open and pays in full, will get to select the US Paintball League Pro player of their choice.
2. Each pro player will only be available for one team, and will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis.  So if you're the first team to register and pay in full, you are guaranteed to get the pro of your choice!  If you register and pay in full last, you won't have much say in which pro will help you throughout the weekend.  Register early and it really could make a difference in how well your team performs in the West Coast Open!

Vicious Egos are the hottest paintball guns for the past few years. Despite only costing the same as the stock Ego $1250, these Limited Edition Paintball Guns hold their value really well and come in very pretty colors such as the Cyan with White Vicious Ego9 pictured above. These guns seem to hold their resale value alot more than the typical stock egos and also perform extremely well.

It's really hard to find these being resold due to the fact that everyone falls in love with the paintball guns once they receive them. Most people will only sell these because they are picking up a newer Vicious Ego.

We definitely recommend everyone to try a vicious ego because we know they will not be disappointed. Our friends at DSSPaintball have really been on top of their game in choosing color schemes ever since their first batch of Vicous Egos Came out.

Overall on size, warranty, ease of use, amount of options, appearance, and field usage, we give these guns a 9/10 mostly because we have never found the perfect gun. The price tag on these as well as other Egos is quite steep which is the only real limiting factor. Look for one Used or Brand New depending on your budget and you will not be disappointed. HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA - May 5, 2009 - The US Paintball League's next stop will be at the world famous SC Village in Corona, California for the West Coast Open July 24 - 26, 2009.

This Southern California event is the result of merging two originally scheduled events; the June Bay City Open event with the August West Coast Open. The July 24 - 26 date is late enough to avoid scheduling conflicts such as Father's Day, Graduations and the 4th of July; yet early enough to allow kids to compete before having to return to school. This will also allow teams ample time to save up money and get some great practices in at their local fields prior to the event.

To ensure the level of professionalism and competition that comes along with a US Paintball League event is maintained, the league will be bringing in their very own NPPL turf to lay down as the playing surface for each field. NPPL PRO Refs and Rules will be in full effect and the Tradeshow will without a doubt satisfy all your mid-season paintball shopping needs. Paint will be available for purchase from the paint manufacturers on-site.
