US Paintball League takes back the NPPL; Moves to Four National Events in 2009
The US Paintball League has purchased the trade marks and rights to the National Professional Paintball League (NPPL) Super 7 World Series. Currently the US Paintball League will maintain the NPPL sanctioning rules and committees. The team members are in the process of deciding whether or not to use the NPPL name in the coming year.
The league is committed to making this season a huge success by ensuring the divisional teams are its main focus. These teams have spoken and would like more time between events to better prepare from a training and financial standpoint. Therefore, the US Paintball League will be scaling back the season to only four events (three remaining in 2009). Reducing the number of events will insure a level of quality and prestige that has always been associated with past NPPL events.
Conferences
The Eastern and Western Conference titles for every division will be determined by each team’s top three scores (The DC Challenge in August must be included to win the Eastern Conference and the West Coast Open in June must be included to win the Western Conference). All 16 Professional teams will be competing in each event this season. DC Arsenal is currently leading the Eastern Pro Conference while San Diego Dynasty is leading the Western Pro Conference. The World Championships this October will be open to all teams as well as international teams looking to compete at the National level.
Series Prizes
A Series Prize Package will be announced for all Divisions which includes Free Entry into the 2010 Huntington Beach event (scheduled for April 9 – 11, 2010), as well as a gun sponsorship for all National Series 7man winners from Bob Long (more details coming soon!).
DC Challenge Postponed
The DC Challenge has been postponed until August 28 – 30, 2009. If your team has already paid and registered for the DC Challenge, please phone the league at (714) 339-3990 or email info@uspaintballleague.com for details on reimbursement options and any other questions you may have.

Richmond Riot Trip to OACC April 26
Richmond's favorite paintball team, Richmond Riot, made a trip to Outdoor Adventures Chesapeake City this weekend to scrimmage against the best 7-man USPL teams in the world. The team took 7 players up to this paintball park formerly known as ECX Paintball and matched up against teams such as Arsenal Evolution, Arsenal Predators, OA Regulators and other teams. Richmond Riot played well all day and had a great time learning the new USPL Field layout for the DC Pevs event on May 14-17.
The team played on perhaps one of the best fields it's ever been to in it's many trips around the country. The OACC staff was excellent at answering all of our questions from registration, to paint sales, to practice information. The registration building was climate controlled which was nice on this 90+ degree day full of pollen from nearby Nurseries and farms. The paint pricing was very competitive and entry/air fee was very competitive with other fields up and down the east coast. The team purchased the cheapest paint which was Diablo Formula 13. The paint shot really well all day and didn't really have any problems breaking paint, but did notice some bounces which is to be expected on an extremely hot day like Sunday.
Richmond Riot really would like to thank all of the staff at OACC for making such a beautiful paintball field, having such great competition, reffing, staffing, and great prices. The team would also like to thank the Arsenal family for inviting them out there for a great weekend of paintball practice. If you are interested in playing at Outdoor Adventures Chesapeake City feel free to give them a call and you definitely will not be disappointed. This was definitely a very important trip for the Richmond Riot paintball team with very tough competition in their quest to be competitive in the National Tournament Scene at one of the best tournament paintball fields on the East Coast.

Congrats to Pro Champions DC Arsenal on winning 1st in the US Paintball League’s Surf City Open! They won in a best of three against San Diego Dynasty for their first ever Pro title. Oakland Blast came in third and Los Angeles Infamous took 4th. Below are the results for each division.

To determine if your Tippmann 98 can accept a Virtue board open the left side of the grip and check for slot for the solenoid to fit into at the bottom of the grip frame. If your frame has the appropriate slot for the solenoid, you will need the following parts (check with your local shop or call Tippmann directly):
•E-grip sear armature
•Return magnet
•Lighter sear spring
•E-grip sear (this sear just has a round hole in the middle of it not a slot or oval)
•Remove the sear-catch from the stock trigger (stock trigger is still used)
Please note that when installing the Virtue board into your non-Egrip M-98 you must knock out the battery plate from inside of the left clamshell. The battery plate is in the shape of a 9 volt battery. This is a perforated cutout. With a hammer and punch you can easily tap out this plate.
